Will warranty cover transmission?

I have an 08 G35 sedan with only 1k miles on it. While I was driving I decided to get on it a couple times and the next thing I notice is the transmission slipping. I drive my car pretty hard but for the tranny to be slipping as bad as it is with only 1k on it is bs. What I am wondering is will the transmission be covered under warranty if I was driving it hard at the time it went out and can they tell if I was driving it hard?

Warranty will cover it. Take it to the dealer and they'll take care of you.

With only 1000 miles the dealer better cover it regardless of how hard you were driving it... its only 1000 miles.

Just to be safe, tell the dealer it started randomly happening and you baby your car... Then delete this thread in case somehow they find it here.

wow, i thought it was a manual when he said it was slipping, but for the auto to slip.... i guess we should atleast TRY to follow the break-in period , but ya +1 on tellin the dealer that you have been pushing the car already....

I called Infiniti and told them I needed to bring my car in because it felt like the tranny was slipping and they said thats fine and suggested that it might need to be reprogrammed. I dont know much about transmissions that need to be reprogrammed but it makes some since because it slips in every gear including reverse which normally when a tranny has problems its not in every gear especially not reverse.

What does the transmission slipping feel like? I have this weird shaking from the transmission, it knocks back and forth and the shifter handle moves too. Is this slipping??

No, in basically every gear it feels like driving a manual and the clutch is half way engaged. It doesnt move forward at idle in drive or in reverse and I can get up to 50mph or 60mph but to get there its tough cause its almost free reving the entire time. It might be a possibility that the torque converter is close to being out.

Hmmm... Thats what the problem probably is, i have taken it to the dealership a few times with this complaint and they havent done anything about it. Ill take it there again and say to check the torque converter.
