^ not only skinny, but flexible as hell. Not much room to use the tools, and holding into those cans.

Wow those sound really good! Thanks for the video. *sigh* Yet another mod I want and no bonus this year due to the economy.

Yeah, I know what you mean... My wife got screwed out of her bonus and a raise already this year. Fun, fun... I'm just thankful I work for myself.

Oh well, I took the car both to infiniti and an Exhaust place, they said they can't adjust the tail pipes unless they cut it and re weld to straighten them up. sooooo... When i get on my knees and look at the pipe straight on they seem to kinda sit in the center of the bumper cutouts but it's clear that one pipe is further in than the other one. guess i need Uga to get the diffuser done so that i can hide this hahahahah.
Adrian when you get yours on can you let me know how the fitment f your pipes are? Thanks!

WTH, that sucks, you should let Tanabe know of your situation. I hope this is an isolated fitment issue. Mine are coming in monday, I'm going to try and install them on tues.
Registered User
Yeah keep me posted, I hope it's just me. So remember you guys keep me posted! If I feel like it I'll try to go under the car and try again, But I'm all scratched up from the install. hahaha.

Ok everyone... Just got my Tanabe Medalion exhaust installed. It's probably the easiest mod I've ever installed. All you have to do is remove two 12mm bolts from the rear clamps and then pop the 2 exahust hanger pins out of the rubber bushings on each side. It literally took me less than 45 minutes to install (and this includes getting the car up on jackstands and taking lots of pics).
First impressions... My tips are centered perfectly, although when I first installed them the left tip sat slightly "lower" than the right tip. I was able to fix this by simply bending the rearward pin on the driver's side muffler just slighly and now both tips look perfect. The exhaust is not loud at all... It's still even a little too mellow for my blood and I was worried about it being too loud. I think once I install my Berk HFC's, then I will have the perfect sound. That said, it does have a nice low rumble at idle and lets a little more of the sweet VQ engine sounds through at high revs... very similar to the G37 coupe, but a little bit deeper. I haven't had the car on the highway yet, so I'm not sure how it is cruising, but I very much doubt it will be overly noisy or drone at all.
I'll post more impressions in a day or two, as well as some sounds clips...
FYI... Clement, my car now has started making a very faint version of the same sound your car makes. It was barely noticeable with the stock exhaust, but now I can definitely hear it with the new exhaust and I bet it will be even more apparent when I put the Berk's on. I wonder if it is a normal sound the car makes and is just more apparent with the free flowing exhaust components?
Some before and after pics. (**Warning** it's a lot of pics). LOL
