Problems @ 3000rpm 1st gear, can anyone help

The problem is slight, but when I floor it from a stop my AT seems to take an extra half-second to realize I'm flooring it before I get the fast revs. It kinda goes up to 3K rpm at a normal acceleration speed, stops, then revs quickly all the way to 7-8K rpm before shifting, which is the speed it should go up all the way, not just the second half. Is it just me, or is this common? Is there a serious problem or do I just need to do a little change? I tried it in DS mode and it didn't seem to help too much either. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Is this with VDC on or off? You're not holding the brake when you're hitting the gas are you?

I don't know i think it's the ECU, someone correct me if i'm wrong, but when i reset the ECU and went for some hard runs, it always revs hard, but when i drive around a lot conservatively the throttle is much more retarded. I get smoother starts etc instead of the jump off the line reaction. I'm guessing you drive around town a bit so your ecu is just trying to save you gas. No idea for me it's not that much of a lag though.

+1 on VDC - you're going to get some wheelspin, with VDC on the G will hesitate for a split-second until the tires stick.

Sounds like VDC.

But, even with my VDC on, if I floor it, the car takes off before 3k rpms and only hesitates when the VDC comes on.

Is this a new problem?
