Key issues

Everytime I try to be a gentleman and open the door for my wife I go around to the drivers side to be greeted by a tiny little opening to get in the car. Her key obviously takes priority when I open the car from her side even thought I am closer to the car than she is. Has anyone else experienced this?

the two keys are differnt colors... Just slightly, but she has key 1 which takes priority when both keys are present

Interesting - which one is key one - the "pewter" colored one, or the bright silver one? Am guessing it's the pewter one because that's the one I carry, and the G seems to listen to me

well, everytime I get out of my car, the seat goes all the way back
and the wheel pod goes in and up.

so everytime I get back in, no matter what setting it is, there's plenty
of room.

so I get in and press either 1 or 2, and that solves that problem.
the car gives you time to get it and press either button before it will
automatically adjust to the key being used.

it's an option you can set in the car for this to happen.
I found it in the manual.

My 07 had the 2 different colored. My 08 came with the same silver colored. No diffences between the 2. Just wanted you guys know not all G's have the 2 colored fobs.

Dittto here. Had an M and now the G and I do NOT have 2 different color key fobs/metal colors.

Jeep had a great solution for this. One key is black, the other is gray. No confusing them. Still not sure why this is so hard to pull off. I know it's a bit more expensive for Infiniti but c'mon.

Yeah Infiniti changed quite a lot from 07 to 08 or somewhere in between my first G35 almost 2 years ago and now. This was one of them. They actually did not have the different colored fob just the link on the fob was colored slightly different. It almost looked like 1 of the fob was worn and the other was like new silverish. It was so close the dealer who sold me the 08 did not know about it. I had to explain it to him.

It only happens when I unlock from her side. When I unlock the car with a different key than was used last time the seat adjusts up to the new setting and then slides back. If I dont realize that it happened I get in and the seat is higher and a lot closer.

And to answer about which key is which, it could be either one cause you program the keys to the # you want.

Do you have her key memorized to use the setting of sliding the seat back and steering wheel up when opening the door? Sounds like you don't have that option set on her key to me...
