well it finally happened. On average, how much to fix a small ding at a reputable body shop? I have 2 on the same door and will ask them to paint my roof spoiler while their at it.

 

You need to use paintless dent repair (PDR) for the door dings, it should cost you less than $100 for both. The guy I use charges something like $60 for the trip and first ding, then $30 each after that - and he's a freakin' wizard, the dings just vanish.

I had 5 in a row just behind the driver's side rear door, I think a shopping kart hit me. I paid 100 for all five to get removed, can't even tell they were there =)

 

As the others have said, if you find a paintless dent repair guy/gal that's GOOD, you would never know they were there in the first place.

I'd do that before paint and bondo for sure.

 

If the paint is actually damaged and it needs to be refinished, you're looking at about $300-350 depending on labor rates in your area to have a body shop repair and refinish the door.

If you have a color that is difficult to match, that price may go up if they need to blend into the rear door or fender.

 

The paint is slightly scratched on the one. The other is just a small dent. Cheaper than i thought! i just ordered the ravspec roof spoiler and will have them paint that as well. thanks guys!

 

Not all PDR shops/individuals are the same - be sure to check references and find someone who others have used and had good experience with. Here in Atlanta we have some that are true artists and others that are total hacks.

if you're in jersey PM me i'll give you my guys number his name is Randy. i've dealt with him for the past two years he's our dent guy over at our shop. he has done some of our customers cars too. this summer during our family vacation my sister opened her car door a little too much getting her child seat in and bam. nice ding on my fender line. i got pissed and punched my quater panel and put four dings with my knuckles ... (idiot) you could never tell they were there he'll come to your house or job and he's pretty reasonable
