What is your short list of disappointments?
My list of disappointments thus far:
1) I'm still within the break in period
2) Dealer service/parts: "Your car does not exist..."
3) My replacement aftermarket wheels and intake have not arrived
4) It's gonna be winter and I won't be able to run my 20's until spring
5) Having to correct people and explain to them that this is a G37 sedan, not a G35 sedan
6) I'm getting carpal tunnel syndrome having to turn the seat heater ***** 6 cogs to get the high setting
7) Facing the true reality that there was a reason that I bought a sedan and not the coupe by having to install the car seats for my two kids and enjoy my son kicking the seat from behind
8) My 3 year old daughter saying, "I don't like this car, where is the movie screen (we have DVD in our Armada), and it's too loud (FI HFC's and exhaust )
9) The anti-wife devices (loud exhaust, dark tint, etc.) are not working
10) Heavy foot syndrome and 17 mpg

I would have taken a deal back in August if they had a G35 optioned up the way my G37 is equipped. I really like this car, and am glad to have some exclusivity for the short term (even if it is only in my head)!

This evening, for a short while, I decided to screw #1. I chirped the tires in second gear blowing away a stupid Eclipse from a light.

I read the break in procedure for my old car back in the day and it read that to break it in, I should let the car run at every single RPM range at different periods of time.

Since then I've refused to read to any other recommendations on how to break in a car, on purpose. That car lasted 160,000 miles easy until I gave it to my brother and he flipped it and totaled it.

Damn Infiniti you're killing me, I drove anothe r08 G35 today and it is so damn tempting, but I want a G37 sedan, if they would have had one they would have sold one today.

So to recap:

The 2009 G37 Sedans won't be in dealerships in any quantity and with any incentives until at least January...

If you want a G37 Sedan that's customized to a certain degree (like rx794) you have to wait until January to actually place the order and begin the 90-120 day wait. I'm assuming any incentives would be applicable at the time of order...

I was hoping to be able to place an order now for a highly optioned G37xS with at least a loyalty incentive and pickup the car in March, but now it looks like a realistic delivery date would be by May

hmmmm....

Your recap is WAY off, you could place an oder for a 37 in July and some people on here already have their 37's

I begining to just accept that I'll wait until March and get a 09 G37 Sedan then, hopefully by then there will be some incentives as well. And I am so itching to pull the trigger and the discounted 08's are appealing, but I'm likely to hold out and hope for some Navi improvments over the 08.

Well I think calling that recap WAY off is a bit strong, as my time machine isn't working right now and I can't go back to July to place an order since it's November last I checked. And according to posts #22 & #23 if you want a G37 other than the few that have trickled out you need to order one, but in post #38 09 production has been cut back and no new orders are beeing taking at this time.

Ok so if its November like you said why would you have to wait 2 months to order a car?
Seeing as Mike@riverside is still taking 09 orders why would you believe what Joe Shmo says?

Read before being a smarta$$

I am taking orders, but Infiniti will not accept an order from me for the time being. When I have an order, I am doing my best to snag a car from the port. Otherwise, I have to wait until my ordering system is back open.

Fortunately, most of the guys that ordered from me ordered between July and September, while I was still able to put in orders as soon as I received it

Who's being the smarta$$ in this thread - if you want to nitpick and say that dealers are still technically taking orders even though Infiniti isn't accepting them, I guess you're right.

I don't mind waiting for the exact car I want, and even though one dealer I spoke with is confident he could grab that car within a month, I'm just trying to figure out when the best time to actually order is. I could put a deposit down now with no incentives (and not get a good deal, at least locally) and possibly wait until April, or wait until the 09's are at the dealers in numbers and buy something close to what I want and put the kick plates, spoiler etc on myself. The dealers local to me aren't too helpful regarding the 09 sedan details like which spoilers are which. I point to the ones I want in the catalog but they can't tell me if it's the $520 or $550 one or part of an Aero package...

I'd love to do a cross-country adventure to SoCal and pickup the exact car I want, but I don't think they see too many AWD's on the left coast.
