Can anybody explain to me what the real difference is between moonlight white and ivory pearl? I would be so thankful for some pics.

 

Blue vs Yellow undertone.

 

That will be nice, i wanted white so bad on my sedan, but i didnt like the yellowish tint it had... this is even more incentive for me to trade in the G35s next year

From what I've seen, it looks like the new Moonlight white actually has more of the yellow undertone, not blue... It is definitely less 'white', and more 'cream' than Ivory Pearl.

Im planning to get a g sedan but its hard between the 08/09 models. No only are the 08 models cheaper, I think their 18' wheels look better too. So, if the new moonlight white isn't what I want, then I think I'll stick with the beautiful ivory pearl.

 

it wont be until next week since i'm on a nice vacation (only one for the year).... in my shots youll see both look identical and in person youll notice the flakes... the '08 EX and '09 FX have the moonlight white to really get a good view b/c the scratch shield paint does make the paint look a little more glossy of a finish.

honestly, for the cost you'll get the 2008 model, i would say go for it. if you are more performance oriented, wait for the 2009 b/c of the 7at

I have actually seen a 2009 in the new Moonlight white locally and really actually prefer the Ivory Pearl. The Moonlight white just seems to look dirty to me... not quite as crisp, bright, or deep.. if that makes any sense? LOL

 

I've only seen moonlight white on the new FX. It's closer to pure white than IP. (IP is more creamy/yellowy)

 

That's funny, because I thought the exact opposite when I saw the new G37 in Moonlight White next to my car in Ivory Pearl. The IP looked much more white and much brighter.. maybe the Moonlight White car was just really dusty... it doesn't take long for a car to get a thick layer of dust on it out here in SoCal. LOL

 

i just saw the brochure, and moonlight white has a yellow hue to it.

damn. i was hoping it would be more neutral pearl.

that yellow makes it look dirty

white was my first choice too....
