I recently bought an '08 G35 sedan.(BASIC NOT TYPE S even tho there isn't a difference is there?)

I was just wondering how fast it really is. I only have about 900+ miles on it and don't really wanna gun it yet. Some people at school think they can smoke my G, one of them drives a 07 FX35(which I personally think is fast for a crossover) and another drives an 08 Audi A4 S Line 4 cyl. I wanna wait until I hit the 1000 miles then start driving it faster. So do you guys think I can beat them?

 

The 6MT sport is a high 13 second car.

 

Mine is just the basic G35, not S.

 

the fx-35 isn't quicker assuming it is stock. The A4 w/the S-line options isn't as well, unless it's an S4, then it would be quicker.

 

nope both are stock. I know I can easily smoke the FX a little worried about the A4 since it is a pretty light car. I doubt it tho. The only thing that had me worried was that it is turbo but it's only packing 200 HP.

LOL the funny part is the guy with the FX is like
oh I don't think I can beat you because I have a system in my car which is just the dumbest thing to say the system is like 50LBS tops. He also says if I didn't have a system I could smoke so many more cars. He acts like it weighs 5000LBS.

But now I think I'm ready to smoke them. I'll try to get videos and post them up!

A4 no problem that thing has like a 0-60 of like 7 secs, don't we run mid 5s?

 

yeah pretty sure..everyones reviews vary by like 1/10 a sec..i think the RWD runs a 5.1 or 5.2 and the AWD a 5.4 or 5.5..

 

You're faster than both of the above cars mentioned. Easily

 

If I were you I'd seriously think about anything these 2 friends suggest to you before agreeing to it. Obviously, neither of them are very bright....

 

my question is...how in the world do you not know you can take a fx35 and an a4?

 

Our G's only have 1 type of engine so it doesn't matter if you have the base model or the sport model. And, I'd watch the posting of racing pics/videos (unless it's on a track) or this thread will be locked as quickly as you beat those other 2 rides

 

spot on with the times. I've G-tech'ed my car a few times now, I get 5.4-5.5 consistantly, AWD.

 

Presumably you mean at the track, not on the street, right?

 

You will kill both of them. I can kill an A4 and FX in my 05...
