FI CF catback

I just got off the phone w/Tony at FI (hell of a nice guy) to order my new exhaust. While I was talking to him I figured I'd ask about the CF catback I saw on g37driver, so I asked him if it was possible to do it on my X.He checked right away, and said it was possible so i decided to go ahead w/it. Tony said I'll be the first G sedan w/the CF catback and hopefully it will be shipped out in apprx. 3 weeks(gna be a long 3 weeks), so when it's installed, i'll update you guys. Thx again Tony!!

Do the CF mufflers make the system any lighter?

I always thought the exhaust pipe should be made of metal so that it would be able to reach a certain running temperature for proper efficiency. I'm not sure about CF having the ability to heat up to that level. but that's probably only true for two stroke engines. I dont know hehe.

Yes. The CF mufflers will save a little more weight. When i was on the phone w/Tony this morning he did tell me exactly how much each muffler weighs but i honestly forgot

how is it goin to be lighter when the muffler is goin to be wrapped in CF lol
i think its for keeping heat away from the gas tank and for looks lol
unless tony is doin something different with these mufflers
how much more are they?

I just talked to tony about the exhaust for mine and I asked him about the CF too. He said the CF one is for the coupe, but he can also make one for the sedan if anyone wants one.
