Wiper saga continues

Well, I brought the car in for a 7500 mile service and to have the wipers fixed, the passenger wiper kept hitting the base of the windshield and the wipers themselves skipped across the windshield on the passenger side.

They stopped the wipers from hitting but they still skip. The invoice says they replaced the blades, but I am not sure if they did (actually I am reasonably certain they did not replace the inserts, blades, or what ever).

This service was done Thanksgiving weekend and I have not had a chance to get back to them. I wanted to make sure that the windshield and the blades were clean. For the last week or so we have had rain off and on and I wanted to be sure before I brought the car back.

Can anyone tell me why the "new" blades did not solve the problem? I am tempted to go to an auto parts retailer and buy my own inserts.

Does anyone have any ideas or experienced this on their cars? I know that this is a small thing, but it is frustrating.

My dealer service experience so far is poor and this is not the primary reason for my statement.

Thanks in advance for your input.

Yes, for sure. You can find it at some stores or on ebay.

Maybe this will help, my Audi had this problem ... wiper would skip and miss portions of the windschield ... when I call the service rep. and explained the issue he told me that the arm itself might be binding up where it attaches to motor ... I did not believe this to be the case but brought it in .. they messed around with it .. put some grease down there and never had the problem again. worth a shot
