Wheel vibrations on highway

Hey guys, I recently purchased an '08 G35 and after a few highway trips, I feel like there is a little more vibration in the wheel than normal. I have about 1800 (I bought it just before '09) miles on it and i havnt had the first service yet. How much wheel vibe do you guys get going 65+, if any at all. After a two hour trip my hands were tingling from the vibes. Other than that the car rides great. Do you think sitting on the lot so long threw off the balance or something? any help/input is appreciated.

You shouldn't have any wheel vibration all. It sounds like the wheels might not have been balanced properly. You might want to take it back to the dealer and have them check it.

there's three things to check. your lugs , make sure there tight ,like MTTech said , the wheels werent balanced properly , and the last thing is , if the car was siiting there however long , there could be flat spots on the tires.. GOOD LUCK

Flat spots would cause jumping rather then vibration but at the high speeds it would prolly be hard to tell which one is which.

deff take it to a dealer and have them resolve the issue.

do you live in an area where it snows? snow in the rims will cause an annoying vibration until its out.

otherwise bring it to the dealer.

+1 On that. If you have snow around. That is most likely the cause. I usually just wash it out. If not take it to the dealer maybe you lost a little ballancing weight.

No, I live in Florida, so snow is not an issue.

I just made an appointment with Infiniti for tomorrow morning. Im just going to bring it in now as opposed to waiting another 1700 miles for the first service because I want to have tint put in and have the driver side washer fluid nozel fixed (only 2 out of the 3 are working on the driver side). Hopefully they will be able to figure out whats causing the vibration.

wheel balancing most likely as mine was off by 5 grams brand new, dealer fixed it. However I've switched to A/S tires now and the tireshop I went to had a hard time getting rid of the vibration, I gotta take it back tomorrow.
