Why would you believe a service writer....NOT!

Unbelievable, you actually believed what some service writer had to say?
Odds are he doesn't know the difference between a 3.5 and 3.7 since he
told you it was a '08 3.7 sedan....they don't exist! Then the story changes
and this time it was a coupe and the cause was racing? I know members
that have G37 coupes, they drive them like crazy and I've never heard of
any failures. What's that old saying, "Never believe anything you're told
and only half of what you see!" Believe it....

I think you should read the original post again. The story never "changed" as you suggest - he just got his info wrong - and later corrected it. And he never said the G37 sedan was a 2008 as you imply. It's moot anyway, as the sedan isn't involved here...

Glendale Infiniti has confirmed that they did replace over 12 engines, but on the G37 COUPE, and only the Coupe.

Glendale is documenting every replaced engine as they know what is going on - again, no change in story here - they believe it's a combination of racing/redlining & lack of required synthetic Ester oil that is the root cause of the blown engines. And it's also interesting that every single replaced engine had a very young owner....

If we are not to believe the service rep at Glendale, pls explain. Or are you referring to the misinformed 2008 G35 owner (who started the post) a "service writer".
