Ridiculous quote on installation for springs and camber..

Hey guys,

im shopping around to get quoted on how much the installation would be for eibach pro kit and rear spc camber. Its hard to find a reputable shop in hamilton, ontario so i went to a local nissan dealer and they said its gonna take 4 hours??.There charging 85$/hour for labour. Is this a standard installation time? i thought it was a simple installation?

Anyways let me kno how long it should take to install or if you know any good shops who work with suspension products in the ontario region

go to a reputable independent shop. About $230 USD is a fair price.

I got mine installed for $100, and it took less then 2 hours. After the drop we had a hard time getting it off the jack, we had to use two by fours to get the car off.

just buy a manual or search the DIY pages and DO IT YOURSELF. then just have it professionally aligned.

Most dealerships labor rate is $100/hr. $85/hr is not bad rate for dealership.
But 4hrs to install i dunno about that.

I got varying quotes from $600, $400, to $220 from performance shops. What I did was to find a friend with an air impact gun and we did it ourselves, and then paid for professional alignment with the Hunter machine.

This was my original plan until I found out just how much of a PITA the fronts are on the X model.
I'd rather just pay someone to do it for me, but with the Impuls being as $$$ as they are, I'm looking for a shop that won't rape my wallet but will still do a great job.
Tough to find a good shop to begin with... most are complete hacks.

When I use to have a performance shop, I charged around 120 for spring install. Not sure how it is where you are but that seems about right for a dealer. I guess its time for the U.S. to invade... oh wait, we're all broke. darn.
