I Picked Up My G37 Today
I picked up a liquid platinum G37 sedan today. It is equipped with a 6MT (Sport), and Premium packages. It is a pretty stock car. I was not interested in RAS, NAV, or Tech packages. I ordered the car about 2 weeks ago, and it came in today (it had been at the LA port, so I was told).
I am a former 2004 G35 sedan owner; it was also a 6MT. I must say I am very happy with the car. The roads are a little wet here, and I am following the break-in procedure, so I have not fully explored the car. My initial impressions are as follows:
Things I like:
-Smooth and fast through the power band.
-The 6MT is MUCH better. I really like it. It still has a slight "Nissan" notchiness/feel, but it is much smoother and easier to operate. All-in-all, I am really happy I went with the 6MT.
-iPod interface and bluetooth. Both are cool and work well.
-Good steering feel. Maybe a tad too light, but overall it is very responsive, and feels good. I also really like the size, look and feel of the steering wheel.
-Nice stock Sport suspension. I had only driven a non-Sport loaner of the 2nd Gen G35, and I did not like it. This is much better. Not quite on the same level as the Nismo suspension on my 1st Gen, but good for stock. It will tide me a over for 6 months.
-The seats. I think they are a huge improvement over the 2004 seats.
Things I don't like:
-It seems to lack the low end grunt that my 04 had. Maybe lacking is not a great word, but it does not seem to have any more than what my 04 had. It seems like you have to get a little higher in the rev range. That is cool with me, but not so cool during the break-in period.
-No charging of the iPhone 3G. Overall I like the interface, but not charging with the iPod cable is a big bummer.
-It feels a little bigger and heavier than my 04. It is, so no big surprise.
I will follow-up with some more feedback after I get a chance to drive the car more. I think I will spare you the pictures of a bone stock car.

Yeah, I guess you are right. All the other 6MT's I found were LOADED, so I guess I was feeling inferior.
I wanted the premium package (for the iPhone integration, sunroof, and bluetooth), but I was not interested in anything else.
I just picked up the midnight black grill, and I am trying to order some 19" Volk GT-S wheels now. If it works out, I will drop it (on Eibach's or coilovers), and be done and happy for a while.... I am still debating the front lip. I just can't decide if I like it (or $400 like it). I will post some pics once I get everything done. I may have to order the wheels I want....
Oh, I should also say I got the Sosche PassPort adapter for the iPhone 3G as recommended by RogerInAtlanta, and it worked as described! Thanks for the information!!! I would have searched eventually, but it would have taken me a while to figure it out.

Here are a few pictures. I will post more if/when I get something done. Since I didn't give an update on the car in the above post, here is a quick one....
I am at 200 miles right now; still taking it easy on the car. Everything is still good, and there are no problems to report. All-in-all a few things take some time to get use to; no keys, and the various user interfaces mainly.
