Ok, new thread because its so quiet here.

I'm days away from picking up my G37 Sedan, 6MT, Prem/Nav, lip style rear spoiler, Plat. Graphite/Grahite.

Its been SOOOOOO long. I put down a deposit in Mid-November. Long story short, I think they canceled my order in December b/c I originally did not want the Nav package. I added it around the 20th of December. I think they reordered my car at the begining of January.

So, they tell the car will be in the week of the 30th or maybe a few days sooner. I'm waiting..................

I have exactly the same car you ordered; It's an incredible driving machine even though I'm still in the break-in period, I can't wait until I can redline it in each gear

I was ready to order a 335i Sedan before I test drove the G37 6MT; I was blown away by the precise handling and the power of the engine; I wish the exterior styling was a bit more aggressive, but with 11K savings over a comparably equipped 335i, I'm ecstatic with my choice.

Madmax2k1:

Couple of questions.....

1. How bad...or not bad, does the shifter vibrate? I drove an 07 6sp and it was vibrating pretty bad. I figured I could live with this, but then the other day I started thinking it would drive me nuts like a rattle or something. I have a tendancy to drive with my hand on the shifter (currently have a 06 Altima SE-R 6sp).

2. How the clutch/takeup? Is it hard to drive smoothly?

3. Can she keep up with 335i's? LOL.....

I'm also thkinking of doing a few power mods. Maybe the cobb tuning ecu flash and some light rims, no spare and lightweight battery. My thought is ~340HP with 75LBS less weight.

1. You don't notice the shifter vibration unless you look at it; it doesn't make any noise and the vibration is very subtle when you put your hand on the shifter. Honestly, I'm not sure why people make such an issue out if it.

2. The release point of the clutch is on the high side; however I got used to it after a couple of days; you may find it a bit awkward if it's your first manual, but once you adjust to the release point it's fine.

3. In a straight line the 335i may win (bimmer has more torque); however on a track it will equal if not beat the bimmer.

If it's a real concern to you about whether the G can keep up with a 335i, maybe you should pour out the $11k in savings into FI and performance mods and then worry about whether or not it can take a 335...

Oh yeah, and the answer in that case is, hell yes. =)

As a follow-up to what madmax2k1 said:
  1. The shifter on the 09 G37S 6MT does vibrate but it's not as bad as it was on the 07.
  2. The clutch engagement on the 09 G37 has been improved and the car is much easier to drive smoothly than earlier 6MTs.
  3. The 335's low end torque will allow it to beat you off the line most of the time (depending on the drivers of course).

I got the same car except Blk on Blk. Not sure what your getting out of but I think your gonna love it if your coming from a previous generation G. Post some pics when you finally get it. Here's a ink to my boo "Black Magic".

I'm comming from an 06 Altima SE-R 6sp. It should be a huge step up.

BTW: I don't like dropping either.
