Bluetooth cuts on and off

Bluetooth cuts on and off
I've searched and do not see anything on this issue. I have an 08 G35XS with Nav, and the bluetooth cuts in and out, I can be on a call outside of the car, I get into the car and start it and bam, I cannot hear the call. The other person can hear me. I live in Metro Washington, DC so the area is not the issue (plenty of cell towers, etc).
This happened to me again this morning on my way to work. I will admit that it may be the phone (LG 8100) and yes, it needs to be replaced. But since it is supposed to work (both Infiniti web site and Verizon validate this).
Question: is there an update for the bluetooth software? Or should I just get a new phone and stop being cheap?
Thanks

I've had lots of problems with my phone too. It turns out there is a problem with Windows Mobile 6 phones and Nissan/Infiniti cars made during a certain year range. Calls have lots of static. I can hear the other party, but they can't seem to hear me. I've heard if you send the call to your phone, and then send it back to the car it will work again, but only for that specific call. My previous phone with Windows Mobile 5 worked flawlessly with my car.
Neither Microsoft nor Nissan seem to own up to the problem though, so no one seems to be looking for a fix. So my $40,000 car can't communicate with my $600 phone.

I have MotoQ9c and the same issues and some wierd stuff happening like the car and the phone get connected and no voice commands work until I select the phone and select hangup on the display. This is a mess. I have the Nav. This is not happening with the 07 loaners that doesn't have the Nav. I had this issue with WM5 and now WM6.1. Same story. I'm just waiting for the HTC Touch Pro to be tested out by Infiniti.

I just got a new phone, and am experiencing a similar issue with the Bluetooth. Worked great with my old phone. It's paired to the car, and it finds it as soon as I start the car, but keeps disconnecting and reconnecting. It works just fine with my headset, so I know it's not the phone. What I also find odd is the screen shows no bars, even though the phone shows a strong signal. The phone is a Samsung Rant.

Well, from what I'm finding, the phone isn't quite compatible with the Bluetooth in the G, that seems rather pitiful that it is compatible with my $69 Bluetooth headset and not with the G Bluetooth. What they describe the problem as is the "connection is not stable". Okay, but why if it's stable with my headset, why not with the G? To me that makes no sense!

It's not WM6, its actually the bluetooth drivers and chip in the phone that causes the issues of static. I have an HTC WM6 phone and there has been some minor successes with older bluetooth drivers, but nothing wide spread.
If that is your problem, when you place a call or receive a call, imediately after connecting, hit "use handset" then hit "phone" button again to make the call go through the car. This will usually clear up the static issue.
As far as the phone dropping and coming back, I have noticed similar issues when either on a call when I start the car or if car is running and then I go out with phone and it tries to pair with the car. The only thing I have found to fix this issue is getting off call and turning off car, then reset car and let phone pair w/ car.
Again, these are only temp fixes, the only real fix is to get a phone that is on the approved list on Infiniti web site.
