I had them quote me 360 for a 15k service and then try to upsell me some adders like de-carbon service for a total of a bout 560. Next service intervals would be oilchanges at 18 and 22, so I agree with others, no such thing as 20k service. Maybe they were trying to include the 15k service for you?

Read the manual instead of jumping on a forum. If you read the manual you will know more about your car's required maintenance than the service advisor.

LOL, just change the oil and air filters and call it a day.

I'm not sure much is really needed at 30k either. No modern car (exotics aside) require anything serious in the first 50k miles.

Just did my wifes car which has 19500 on the clock.
Oil/filter, checked the in cabin filter which still looked brand new, put 2 new air filters in. Potenzas still have 70% tread, clean and wax.
The mechanical stuff took me an hr, clean and wax took me 1.5 hr.
If you lived near me, I'd do the same for you for $100 plus parts.

30k should be all your filters - air, cabin, oil. seat filters too if you have an M.

30k is when I recommend a transmission and rear diff flushes. transfer case and front diff usually at 45k.

My thread is merely for knowledge share for G35 enthusiastic and alike. I wished that when you mentioned "...if you read the manual you will know more about your car's required maintenance than the service advisor..." could be that simple.

Textbook and manual can go so far but in practice and reality does require more critical analysis and knowledge share.

Thanks for your advice but sorry to say that your statement doesn't really add value to me.
