anyone running non staggered setup besides people with all wheel drive g's? i'm thinking of buying some new wheels but i'm not sure about going with 275/30/20 for the rears because it really limits the brands and models of tires to chose from and i read somewhere that the rear tires wear out faster with a staggered setup. i'm not an aggressive driver so performance is not a really big factor in my decision.

i'd like to hear everyone's opinion, especially anyone who does/doesn't regret going with a non staggered setup.

 

u can run 20x9 if you're not going staggered and it'll look fine

 

staggered rims look really nice however you can not even rotate them with your front tires when they wear out...my experience with with staggered rims on my previous RWD car was not that cheap. maybe get same size all around and get wheel spacers for the rear? i don't know i really should not be talking or giving any advise because my 08 G is BONE STOCK right now! lol

 

I am running a non-staggered set up currently on my RWD G sedan. I am currently running 19x8.5 all around w/ 245/40 19's. Previously I was running a staggered set up. Visually, a staggered set up looks much better than a non-staggered set up. However, when it comes to practicality, it's great to be able to rotate your tires whenever you want.. especially if you are dropped w/ some negative camber. Plus so far, I have not notice any loss in performance with my current set up.

 

I am thinking of running 245/40/19 on my 06 sedan. Looking for non staggered set of rims right now. Would that size be ok?

 

The size of tires depends on what size ur rims you go with?
You need to state what size ur rims are for anyone to know if those tires will fit or not..

You can also run 235/35 if you want less rubber and lower profile.. but IIRC, recommended size for 245/40 is for 8" to 9" wide wheels.

So it's personal preference IMO.

You can fit a lot of different tire sizes onto a set of wheels. You just need to decide how much rubber you want covering your wheels.

 

Will running non staggered mess with the speedo or VDC?

I'm running 20x9 all around with 255's all the way around. But the offset makes the rear wheel look deeper than the front. I have 4was on my car.
