That is interesting tho. If you think when they bring the top sport sedans there are usually 2. BMW 335i and infiniti G not is350/es350 or what not.

OP,
In my MANY years of driving & owning many cars.
The G is the only one that I have bought a second time.

ZERO problems with #1
& same for #2 to date.

I spent a little over a year looking at cars, and for that whole time, the IS was on the top of my list. I spent as much time in the Lexus forum then as I do here now. If it's one thing I know for sure, it's that the Lexus IS has just as many little quirks as our G's. They too complain about little things like the loud popping noise in the dash that sounds like a rock hitting the windshield, the endless vibration in the rearview mirror causing nothing more than a blur for a visual and the list goes on.
Both are damn nice cars, but for me, the G came out on top.

I'm not sorry about my purchase and would do it again someday.
I like my G.

LOL, I will leave this one btwn you two

OK, I have not spent a single minute of my life on the IS forum upon getting my G. You have to admit, the car is awesome and to me, it looks more masculine and aggressive than the IS. The IS has been said (by a few) to look more like a girls car ( I agree with this), but I can bet you will never find anyone saying that about the G.

Its certainly G envy.

Forgot to add that I give my G a solid 10 out of 10. Would never consider any car in the 0-50k range.

shame shame shame... haha dont worry... i just did the same time... OP did not state this is specific to V36 but i dint realize its poasted in the V36 sub-forum.

My 03 has had major and minor issues but Infiniti took great care of me. Tranny was replaced, doors rattling, sun roof pop, gas cap, gas meter not reading accurately and yet I love the car and would definietly consider a new one. Vehicle rates 7/10 but infiniti service gets 9/10.

My brother has an 05 with no issues either. I'm wondering why Nissan has more problems than Infiniti if they're so similar in build quality, unless they're not. I'm not sure haha. But I'm looking high and low for a Certified G35s or journey, but all the ones I find are stupid commercial leases, old rentals, or fleet cars...come on now

As some of you know I am a new owner of a G (little over a month) I was looking a some BMW's and the IS. I wasn't impressed with the IS at all didn’t do anything for me and basically my entire family owns BMW's and I wanted something different. I have turned my father who is a die hard Bimmer lover into enjoying my G quite a bit. Catch him looking at it quite often and I can tell you when he has driven it there is quite the grin on his face. Granted I haven’t been a long time owner but I couldn’t be more satisfied with my choice!

I love my '08...probably 8/10.

And it's my second G...I would rate my '05 G as a 9/10...never had to take it into the dealer for anything other than an oil change. A squeak here or there was it.
