I guess there is only one way to find out!

Yeah I considered doing that too but the last thing I want to do is make it look worse.

Let me know if you head down that path.

terrible belt trim AND sticky dashboard

Well I guess I'm going to revive this one. Just purchased another 07 G35. Like my previous one, of course the belt trim all around is just garbage AND with this new one I also have the misfortune of a dashboard that gets sticky in certain sections when it's warm out. What crappy parts! And of course when you ask about it at the dealership, no one there claims they've ever seen either happen before. Yeah right, I have bad luck but not that bad. Thinking I might try another dealership, but the car is way out of warranty. Has anyone found aftermarket belt trim YET?

As a follow up, contacted Infiniti Customer Care, and they were kind enough to let me know they wouldn't assist me in either issue due to the car being past the warranty time AND they think the parts were damaged due to the warm climates the car has been driven in. What total crap, especially since people had this issue in 2009 when the damn things were near new.I had an 86 Honda exposed to the same elements. 30 years later their molding and dashes still look good. I also had an 03 black on black G35 that NEVER had these issues either. What a joke...
