So I'm at court, dealing with some minor tickets , and I come out to my car (WHICH! I parked in a particularly far away spot so it wouldn't get scratched!!!) and I get approached by a police officer saying "just the person I was looking for".

So he points to my bumper which has a GIANT HOLE!!!

So I guess while I was in trial the district attorney backed his trailer hitch into my car :'(

Makes me sad.
Sucky thing is it's a brand new bumper, because someone left their license plate in it a few months ago on my way to school.
AND I didn't even have school that day (holiday I forgot about).
Cursed? No it's prolly me!

What I really need is my front bumper fixed (just a little scratch, but I hate it).


While we're on that subject anyone know how to get paint off of a car without ruining the paint?

Start with basic detailing steps... clay and polish.

Meguiar's fine-cut paint cleaner, which they carry at Checker/O'Reilly works wonders on removing such things. Be sure to re-seal & wax after cleaning it.

Start off with a good wash, then follow up with a fine clay. Spend some time with your clay as it will remove a lot of junk if done right. Remember to constantly turn the clay to reveal a fresh side, you don't want to be rubbing around all the stuff you just took off back onto your paint. Also don't forget the lube and plenty of it!

Finally when your working on polishing remember to always use the least abrasive polish first and work your way down if the imperfections are not removed.

no, my rear bumper is what got backed into.
I just wish it was my front bumper cause my girlfriend scratched it a few months ago.
I just figured while I was posting I'd ask about the paint thing.

So, why isn't the DA paying for a new bumper? Or did I miss something?
