K&N filter replacement for 07 G35s

I have ordered the K&N filter replacements for my G35s which were not cheap by the way...about $50 each and the G needs 2.
Anyways, my question is, will I feel any difference in performance with this replacement and/or has anyone experienced better gas mileage?
Also, does it change the engine sound in a good/bad way in your opinions?

Thanks

our stock airboxes are pretty well designed. you shouldnt hear any difference in sound but the engine will be a bit more responsive.

I replaced my OEM air filters with the K&N filters at 20,000 miles, didn't notice any sound variance but the performance seemed to improve a bit. Gas mileage hasn't changed, still averaging 22.3mpg with 60 highway/40 city mix.

I am a believer in the OEM box and all these intakes make very little hp until high rpms. K&N makes good products but $100 for two filters is steep. I went with the HKS drop in filter. They run $65 shipped for two.

i just ordered them and put them in today, but i jusified spending another 200$ and getting the damn intake (shakes head at myself) There was a barely noticable difference in sound, moreoever I could notice the throttle responsive. btw im stuck between the stillen gen 2 for 369$ (price reduction) or the injen (both CAI) 459$ injen claims 16horsepower and torque but with no dyno. im stuck ! heres the link on the site.

Replaceing Filters

This may be a really dumb question but how hard is to replace the air filters in the 07 G35? I've never had to change them yet but I know with previous cars, its been a breeze.

Thanks

If they are the same as the 08 I could have both out and replaced in under 30 seconds.

One thing to check when removing is the foam gasket. One of mine from the factory was almost gone. Easy fix if missing.

I never found the dyno for injen, I ended up getting the stillen gen 2 intake, and just installed it today. Looks and sounds great!
