I am having such a hard time in decidin whether to throw some 19s on my G or a new cam!

What else have you done?
If you're box stock, why would you start with cams?

 

Wheels or cam? Thats not even the same category haha. Unless you are going to boost your car i wouldnt bother with just doing cams because it still wont be enough power. You'll spend upwards of $3k for cams plus all the other parts and tuning that will be needed to get up and running and you'll wish you would have spent that money elsewhere for less than 50 hp.

well so far I have stillen exhaust, intake, and a cobb access port. Im either thinking the cams for power or the wheels cause it will look alot nicer with the stillen rotors I have plus the drop. My buddy is installing em for me...i thought i would only need the spring set for them. I didnt know that I would have to get it tuned and all. I do plan on supercharging it but not for a while though haha....with a college income its hard to come up with all the money.

...lakeshore i see you have the UD pulley...did you notice a major gain in power from that or just a mild one. I have 1000watt sub in my car so I dont think it can handle the underdrive but i was just thinking of getting the light weight pulley instead. Im pretty sure the subs wouldnt hit as well plus im scared the nav will be disrupted also if i get the UD pulley.

 

and advice? i go back to school in about a week so I want to get one or the other and if the cams will take too long im gona put em off till the summer

 

Cams will take way longer than a week. Cams, especially on these engines, or any engine fo that matter, are not just a simple bolt on. If a shop is doing it you could be looking at weeks for them to complete the work. If you do it yourself, probably longer considering i highly doubt you've done much engine work much less have the abilities to properly do diagnostics and tune the engine afterwards.

 

yeah both my buddies with vettes did them themselves but idk if its more or less complicated for our cars...but i realized the investment isnt worth doing now and wait till the summer. I did drop the idea of getting the wheels and im gona order the strut bar, grounding wires, and either hfc or test pipes. My friend has test pipes in his A4 and there is alot of exhaust drone on the highway which i am not a big fan of. I am pretty sure the G35 has much better insulation than the A4 though in regards to sound proofing so yeah haha...
