Thanks a lot for the info & the linky.
FYI I called my agent from AllState and he told me that I have to pay the deductible. I have a feeling he's just trying to stick it to me.. I will call them again and ask to speak to someone in upper management to discuss this.

If you have "comprehensive" coverage in your insurance plan, you are most likely covered for the windshield crack. Check your policy or call your agent. The "comprehensive" option might have a different or even a no-deductable.
One option that a lot of insurance companies use is the epoxy filler on small cracks (usually about the size of a quarter or smaller) depending upon the location. The epoxy fix is very effective. I have had it done on several of my cars. Never had the crack propagate. Good Luck!!

^ Thanks for the advice.
I actually contacted AllState again today and was able to get them to arrange a repair w/o the deductible. However, if I want the windshield to be replaced, they would require me to pay the deductible. Since it's just a small damage, I think a repair should be fine. Got my appointment @ SafeLite Autoglass tomorrow. Hope the repair goes well.
Thank you all for the advice & the concerns!
