07 G35 Sedan 6MT Transmission Fluid

Hello

Does anybody know the part number to the manual transmission fluid? I checked my local Nissan and Infiniti dealer and the price difference is 5 dollars per quart. I wanted to know that they are both the same fluid.

Thanks.

And can you use Redline? Does it make a difference? A friend of mine (who had a Maxima 6spd - '01 I think) swears by the stuff.

Sorry I don't know the part #
I might still have it on my shelf, I'll check tonight. (unless someone else jumps in)
There are several Nissan MT fluids, it's important to get the right one.
An Infiniti dealer will use your VIN# for it.

IMO, I would recommend staying with the OE fluid.
I tried an aftermarket product & ended up changing back to OE.
The aftermarket fluid was more notchy feeling that the OE.

Unfortunately I don't own a 6sp MT. Wife can't drive a MT.

However, if it was me, I'd go with either the Amsoil or Redline gear oil at the specified viscosity.

Curious as to what aftermarket product you used...

I am running amsoil in my 6 speed now and I just recently bought nissan mtf to change it out. with amsoil, it is hard to shift from 1st to 2nd gear when cold. After it warms up, it shifts fine. HOpefully the nissan mtf will smooth out 1st to 2nd gear. did not get a chance to change it out yet.

That's surprising. From what the manual says, it's just gear oil. What viscosity are you using?

Hmm. That is supposed to work.

Did you try Redline MT-90, which is 75w-90, GL-4?

Hey InTgr8r

Just want to confirm that 999mp-mtf00p is the correct MT fluid for 07. Let me know.

No, I have not tried redline. it say it is suppose to be work but it is just not working that well with this tranny. I still need to change it back to oem and hope it will improve the cold shift problem. will keep you all updated. 999mp-mtf00p is the correct mt fluid. i just checked my bottles.

I'm going to take a leap of faith and try Redline MT-90 here once this snow decides to go away. Redline claims it works well even in cold conditions. From what I've read people are happy with it in other Nissans but each gearbox is different so I'll let you guys know how it goes.
