You should of. It is fun and you learn a lot about how the car handles. Better here than on the street. Not poking you. LOL

yeah you were. that was clearly a poke.
I had it coming tho.

And I know- I'm certainly not too proud to admit I could use pro advice.
These classes put a driver with you to teach the dos and donts.
It does sound like fun.

Ok ok I admit I was poking.

You have to try it. You'll have fun and at the end you'll be a better driver. You'll know more about your car.

Also it takes out of your head the need to speed on the street.

I've done a bunch of autoxing - it is a lot of fun

but i've moved up to track days and a motorsports school in austin - now for the same price to do 4 autox runs and having to work the second session I can do a full 25 minute session on a road course

autox is loads of fun to do a few times a year though!

FWIW.....

One thing most people don't consider is that autox (most) can be very hard on your car.

When we track we do warm up & cool down laps.
With autox it's ***** out hot & heavy with a relatively cold car.
If they have a warmup area, definitely take advantage of it.
It will also get some heat into the tires & improve your times. (tire dependent)

what we were doing was in groups and each group lines up with 7-8cars and usually it is warmed up moving slowly every minute to be there on the track as only one car at a time...But again it just lasts 1 minute and few seconds only and in whole day you get 5-6 rounds so I was worried about for 6 minutes of driving.

But your point on heat into tires is valid and have seen people over inflating as it turns out to be better there. On the other side if I am having some understeer I found better results by under inflating rear ones

Wish I had known about it before now. I would have gone for sure.
