Sunroof Leak & Rust Spots

Has anyone had issues with this?

Today I ran my car through a high-pressured touchless carwash for the first time and on the final rinse cycle as the water sprayed my sunroof I felt like somebody spit on the back of my head. I looked at the back of the sunroof and saw a few small drops of water.

I am hoping that it does not do this in rainy weather because guess what the forecast calls for tomorrow?

Also, after the carwash, I got back home and noticed two very small rust spots on the paint's edge of the sunroof. My car's previous owner lived in Florida so I'm guessing that might be the cause of the premature rust? Can someone tell me the best way to get this fixed??? How quickly can it spread? Never had issues before with rust on any of my previous cars.

Sorry for always asking so many questions. Thanks in advance.

Take it to the dealership NOW! the longer you wait the worse it gets. If there is no other damage on the area where its rusting then you are covered under warranty.

The dealer will say some washer use high pressure jets and sometimes cars can leak. I'm not saying I agree with them. Did you loo at the weather strips? Are they in place? Some people had issue with the eather strips come lose.

The rust spots are something you definitely have to look into.

Thanks for the info. Will take it to the dealer asap. There is a weather strip having trouble sitting flush on the rear driver side door. Hopefully its not a big deal for them to fix this.
