Engine Vibration

Guys,

I am so disappointed in my car right now...it's not even fun anymore

You guys have probably noticed I posted a few threads about problems on my car... mainly vibration issues..

So now, I'm experiencing more vibration issues...

recently, i've heard chirping sounds on my car... when it is REALLY cold out, i would hear it. Now, the weather is somewhat warmer (65 - 70 Farenheit).. and the chirp is gone.

Now, I'm having a problem with slight vibrations at idle!! it is very slight, but you can FEEL it in the steering wheel and the shift ****! also slightly on the floor board and my seat.

When I accelerate, you can literally feel the high frequency vibrations traveling up to the pedal, then to the steering wheel, then to the floor, then to the shift ****...almost simultaneously...

It is very small vibrations but enough to get my hands numb after 5 mins of driving!

Anyone have any suggestions as to what is happening?

Harmonic Balancer? driveshaft? ....uuugh... i'm almost starting to hate this car (2007 g35x sedan)

any input, much appreciated.

first off, is the car stock?
Have you check the engine mounts? If you're having vibration issues standing still I would usually rule out any transmission/differential/transfer case mounts but I'd still have them checked just in case.

Engine-wise, 100% stock. I only recently changed all 4 tires, and brake rotors/pads (to aftermarket). Otherwise everything is stock.

I could feel the engine in the steering wheel and shift **** and floor boards when I start the car and at idle... then when I hit the gas and accelerate, the vibration gets faster and can be felt traveling up from the floor into the steering wheel and shift **** and also into my seat... I've asked passengers if they feel a "humming vibration" sensation and they said no.. I think the driver is the only one that feels it cuz it's mainly travels through the steering wheel.

Where are the engine mounts on this car (07' G35x sedan)? How can I tell if it's worn?

they are down low. You should be able to see them if you take off your intakes. Take it to a shop and let them inspect the mounts for any cracks, deformation, etc.

if you're still under warranty and they're worn out then yes.

Hi, were you able to get this sorted out? I'm having similar issues with my 2007 g35.

Thanks!
