Exactly what Ive been doing! Ive done 2 drain and fills and I'm a little under 60k. I think I will be doing another drain and fill on the next oil change. This way the ATF never gets to sludge and get too dirty.

i did mine at around 45k miles myself. 12quarts at $11 a piece.
-unhooked the cooler line going to the radiator
-put it in a 15qt bucket
-started it
-poured in the fluid one after another into the tranny dipstick hole
-turned off the car at the 12qaurt mark in the bucket
fluid gradually went from the brown dingy look back to pinkish
I would like to do it again at 60k miles which might be another year from now

The dealer I go to uses a machine similar to the BG machine and the cost is something like $280. I asked them why don't they do it per the FSM. Their response was they've used this machine all this time and they haven't had a problem.
So I think I'm going to do myself, buy the 15 qts of S-Matic fluid and do it per the FSM. May also record it on a video camera so I have it on record.
