New key fob

Has anyone had to replace an intelligent key fob and master key? If so, where did you order it from? How much did it cost you? Thanks.

It depends on the dealer for programming. Some are reasonable while other tend to charge a ton for it.

When I bought my car, it only came with one Intelligent Key. If you already have one, just look at the numbers on back and order one from Ebay. Because the dealer was going to reimburse me for getting the replacement key, it ended up costing a LOT of money from dealership. The Fob was about 110 the pull out key was about 100 and that little clip that that says "Infinity" costs about 35! I had no choice but I had to pay for the programming and they charged me 130. I know you can get it programmed and have they key cut for much cheaper if you call around.

Keep in mind if you already have one, they will have to reprogram it when you get a new one so that they both work.

Thanks guys. I tried to purchase the pair from one of the sponsors here, but after I contacted them with an order number to check on the status, they asked "what order?". So it looks like ebay may be my best bet. Has anyone tried ikeyless or something like that? I think they are a sponsor as well.

bought my G used, with only one fob. got a fob from ebay for $35, and had it cut and programmed at a local nissan dealer (had to call like 5 dealers) for $50. give it a try, call them during a weekday when there is a better chance that they'll be slow.

sorry, can't remember what ebayer i bought it off of..

My car only came with one fob as well. I ordered one off of ebay for $35 and had it cut at a nissan dealer for $12, then took the key to Inifiniti and said it stopped working and they reprogrammed it for free. My G is still under warranty though.

Does the key fob have to have a specific serial number on it to make it match or do I locate one that is for an 08 and just purchases that?

I believe you want matching FCC IDs. Take the key out and look where it just was in the remote part.
