I have blacked out tail lights rite now (blue bat overlays) and They look great, but as everyone knows, vinyl is not perfect, there is an air bubble on the right light and the edges are pulling away a little bit. I want to get them painted as a cleaner solution. At the same time I have been wanting to paint my headlights matte black. Although I do most of my own mods, Im not really comfortable with baking my headlights. So, I was wondering if anyone on the forum does both of these things. Thank you

You can apply the bluebats but are hesitant to bake your lights? Man, I did not even come close to getting those bluebats on...what a waste! Besides, removing the headlights is the hard part. baking/opening/painting the headlights was the fun part and relatively easy.

Headlights arent that bad. Like ^ said, hardest part is just getting them out. In which case it isnt really all that hard, just have to find all the bolts to remove. Low to med temps in the oven and about 10 mins and the lense should come off. Its not bad if you take your time.

to be honest baking the lights isn't that hard. I'd be more worried about painting personally.

If you want someone to do a professional job check out Igor at 180 customs over at G35NY.com he's done my headlights, taillights, grills, emblem, bootliner. Perfect work. I'll be posting pics up tomorrow if you wanna see.

It's a really simple process but time consuming. Just take your time and don't mess anything up. I did mine!!
