Non-blending paint??? what is that? never heard of anything like that. To paint your bumper, the paint will cost $250??? That's kinda expensive! wow... + labor and all is gonna = to $500?
lol about DVR Mike! are you serious? how does that work?

Whoops! Sorry, i was in the midst of both my toddlers screaming when i typed that response
I meant not-blending the paint, just painting the bumper itself, will be $250 (paint and labor). Another $100 if they were to blend it with the surrounding panels.
Yeah, i'm considering the DVR/Blackbox. This is not the first time i've had "surprises" when i get to the car. Last time i had a nasty gash on my headlamp, incidentally, the same area where this new damage ocurred.
The gadget is basically a little box that records to SD card, has a built-in camera with a 120 degree angle of view and an input for a second camera with a narrower view. It'll record up to 32 hours of video on a 16gb card, either continuously, or when the shock sensor is activated. The one i'm looking at is designed to mount to the upper portion of the windshield, just behind or beside the rearview mirror, with the camera peeking below the tinted part of the glass.
The only catch is it'll only work when plugged in the 12v socket in the cabin, and ACC on. I'm not an electronics guy, so figuring out how to get it to run straight off the car battery will be the tricky part. It uses up about 2w/hr, so my guess is it'll barely have an effect on the battery even on a particularly long work day. The other thing is, with just two "eyes", it'll be a challenge to get it to capture happenings all around the vehicle and still be able to keep them in somewhat hidden locations.

Finally got the new bumper in and painted. Woot! Just waiting on a couple other things, but in the meantime, one last photo of the front-end after i pushed the dent out and put a band-aid on it. (Hey, might as well make the most out of the situation, right?)
This was taken at the SGS 1st anniversary meet yesterday.

BTW did you dyno your G???

Thanks
Yep, i did, but something went wrong. Either my car had issues (per the dyno shop) or the dyno fluked out. It stopped at 6.5k rpm. The shop did offer to redyno once i get a chance. At the 6.5k rpm mark, the car was making 240hp, roughly 25% humidity and 100 degree temps.
I have a video of it, along with my updates to the Injen SRI experience here:
