Hi guys, I'm new here. I don't own a G35 yet (I know, I'm sorry) but I'm getting one relatively soon (This coming weekend if all goes as planned). I'm taking an hour and a half ride to check out an '08 G35 x and I was just wondering if there is anything specific I should keep my eyes open for. I've bought plenty of used cars before and I know the standard things to keep in mind, but I've never owned an Infiniti, or any foreign car for that matter, and I figured I'd check with the experts on here to see if there's anything that I may overlook. The cars got 36xxx miles on it so it's still under factory warranty for another year and some change, or another 24 thousand or so miles. Are there any problems that sometimes peak their heads up around this point in the cars life? Just an FYI... the powertrain warranty is 6 years/70K miles

From what i can see, not much to worry about these cars.

1) Brakes.. They go fast.. 15-20k miles. So Unless the one your looking at has new pad or rotors expect that soon.

2) I guess people have had problems with their trim being scratched. This can be replaced by the dealer.

3) The engine has been around forever and is pretty much bullet proof.

4) Just do the normal used car body seam, door molding check. The belts are kinda weak on this car as they replace them every like 30k.. You will hear them squeak.
