::UPDATE:: Headlight painted. 56k no way

After a month of creeping on threads I decided to do this.

Remove bumper. Heres the DIY
https://g35driver.com/forums/v36-diy...r-removal.html

Picture stolen from VstyLe09, hope your okay with this.
Unscrew the bolts that are circled and pull the headlights out slowly and remove the harness.

Do not adjust or turn these *****. These are for the adjusting the headlight beam levels. If you touch these then you just set yourself up for bad things in the future
Be sure to remove EVERYTHING off. This includes screws, mounts, wiring, ballast, harnesses and etc. Be sure to label and put them into baggies. Organization is key!!

More pics for reference
Left

Right

Prehead oven to 255 BAKE, not broil. Put it in for 5 to 6 minutes, be sure to have all the wiring, screws, mounts, bulbs and ballast out before hand or else.............

Organize everything in bags, your life will be made easier later.

Do not touch the housing or the lens. If you do be sure to clean it with Ultimate Glass cleaner or Windex. The reason is because your fingerprints will smudge it and when you finally put everything back together, you will see your fingerprints on the headlights when the lights are on.

2 coats of black

1 clear coat

All back in.

Out the oven

Put all the wires, bulbs, ballast, screws and mounts in

DONE.

looks great! But I can't tell what color your car is - black or dark blue?

Have you blacked out all your chrome too?

Looks sick... I'm thinking about doing the grill this weekend, and I might as well do the headlights as well... much better than stock!

My car is Blue Slate, so yea it's pretty much dark blue. I've blacked out my grill, housing, chrome trim and the rear deck lid. I don't plan on blacking out my Mt. Fuji emblem because the badging on my grill gives the black a nice contrast.

Grill is the easiest thing. Headlights...you need to invest a good 5 to 6 hours. I had really ****ty tools, so it took me an 1 1/2 - 2 hours to get it off.
