if u dont spend 3-4 months under snow, Dont get X. THats coming from an X driver.
I live in NY, it snows what 3-5times a winter tops. SO rest of the time, Im beat on so many things like mods for the suspension or tranny.
Oh yea i get about 10mpg on a good day of driving VERY Slow.
Reg/spirited driving is about 7-8mpg =]

I have driven an 04 RWD in the snow. I live in Denver. You cannot own a RWD in here. The RWD isn't even available here in the 4 door it seems like. It is my grandparents from California so it had summer tires on it and it really sucked. I just bought a 07 g35x and I am extremely pleased. However It hasn't snowed yet here so I can't tell the difference yet. I am praying to the snow gods.

But i do know the AWD is f$%king sick and would have it no other way. The X probably weighs a bit more but... Im adding the K&N dual intake kit soon so hopefully that will give me 8-10hp like it says. Does anybody know if the intake kit changes the sound of the motor very much. I don't want it very loud at all.

The specs I've seen have them about even depending on who you believe. Either way, I'd put them within a tenth of a second in the quarter mile. Not sure about top speed. I suspect they're governed at about the same speed.
I have an 07 G35X and an 06 G35 6MT coupe. The sedan 'feels' faster to me at least from 0-40 or so. However, that could be due to several things. First the coupe has way more miles on it. Who knows if it is at the top of its game. Second, it can be hard to compare a manual and and automatic in terms of 'feel'. Third, I might just suck with the MT since it has taken me a while to get used to the 6MT's clutch....it is a bit finicky. Anyway, in the seat of the pants the sedan feels faster but I've never clocked either one of them.
The coupe handles turns and such much better of course, so for that kind of driving it is definitely 'faster'.
Luger303, I don't know about the sound of the K&N. But, I looked at al these intake mods and decided that the stock system is really quite good, any HP benefits were negligible and probably unnoticeable, and I was not willing to spend the money just to make the engine bay look pretty.
