needs some new windshield wipers, any recommendations?

hey guys,

my oem wipers are not doing a good job and leaving huge streaks. Where can I get some good, affordable wipers that will last me through the rainy winter season (no snow, socal)

I was just going to go to autozone or some generic place and pick up a set of whatever is on sale, but then remembered that you guys could probably lead me in a better direction.

thanks

Get the ones with one pressure point that is expanded the entire way of the wiper, they work great. I have tried bot the 3 point and 6 point and they had some serious streeking.

Have Bosch Icons on my car. Be warned though, they streak after about a month of use, at least for me.

I had rain-x latitudes for over a year, and they still wipe completely clean and leave no streaks as of today. They are also rated better than Bosch Icons on Consumer Reports.

Bosch Icons (being more expensive), IMO look cooler, but Rain-X Latitudes are more practical and wipe the best while lasting the longest.

Everytime I had issues with my wipers, I just took it to dealership and complained... and they always gave me new ones for free. lol

Bosch Icons

YOU HAVE TO CLEAN THEM every month or so... I've had my wipers for 2 year now. Mind you, I see quite a bit of weather down here in Miami and use them a lot. the trick to wipers is to keep them clean so they don't rot.

Buy rain-x window wax (not the spray) and apply it every six months. That+Bosch icons=the best. I don't need to use my wipers 75% of the time thanks to the rain-x and I'm going on two years on the same pair of wipers.
