Anyone have this? Garmin ecoRoute

I have a compatible Nuvi, so I'm wondering if anyone has this or knows anyone who does?:

The problem is that the Garmin site doesn't specify what features are available for our car, so at this point it's all a guess. The website's pdf says "the gauges displayed may vary by vehicle" lol.

Here's a pic from Garmin's site:

Monitor real-time engine performance data on your nüvi®
Get up to 24 customizable gauges to monitor RPM, air/fuel mixture, oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, air flow, fuel flow, air pressure, and more
Reads Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)— allows you to view over 4000 trouble codes, their meaning, and reset the check engine light
Accurate fuel consumption data can actually help you improve MPG
Simple installation takes an average of only five minutes

Check up to 24 gauges
Now you can have a complete gauge cluster in one convenient location. The information displayed on the gauges page is collected directly from your vehicle. You can select the gauges you want to monitor most and customize screens with various gauge packages. The number and type of gauges displayed may vary by vehicle.

For 70 bucks or so (amazon.com), it would be an inexpensive alternative to the other pricier options out there, especially for monitoring "oem" stuff like voltage, temps, and such (no boost, etc). Also has an OBDII code reader, another "plus."

Interesting product, that's even cheaper than getting a decent Scantool and hooking it up to an iPhone/Android. It does require one to have a Nuvi, right?

My guess is it can at least read the basics you pointed out since it's going through the port, unless Infiniti has encrypted the signals (which i doubt). It will likely work just like any other monitoring device.

so i looked around and this thing is not going to be cheap. first, you need garmin unit with bluetooth option and ecoRoute HD (cable). together your looking at about $250 worth of stuff... if you already have garmin with bluebooth then this might be great little gadget.

Ya, I already have a Nuvi 1300 (no factory nav, paid 109 on amazon), and the ecoroute obd cable runs 70 on amazon, so for 179 I can get a scantool and whatever gauges apply.
