another key fob/brake pedal issue
If you keep pumping the brake while the car is off that's what happens... and I don't understand what that has to do with the key fob, why don't you just change the battery?
Well, I wasn't sure if it had to do wit the fob either, just both had low batteries then the brake was acting funny so I was wondering if it was possibly related....guess not.
I've looked through various posts but don't quite see my answer so here goes...
After lunch today the dash of my 07 sedan shows the light for low battery on the key fob. I got home and went out to see if using the other fob would work fine, but the light is still blinking. I start it, put it in drive then back to park and shut it off, the light is still blinking. NOW I GO TO RESTART IT AND WHEN I STEP ON THE BRAKE PEDAL IT WILL BARELY EVEN PUSH IN. THE CAR WILL STILL START FINE, THEN AFTER IT'S RUNNING THE BRAKE LETS UP AND FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY FINE. What's up with the brake pedal?

Also, if you ever had to put a car in neutral without turning on the engine and use the brake, you would also have found out. (For towing reasons/ changing spare tire.)
I'm just suggesting that this should be common knowledge.
And the fact that you titled it "Another key/fob brake pedal issue" to make it sound like a lot of people have the same "issue" and then you started capitalizing all your letters to emphasize your freaking out about the issue....when these aren't even issues at all. I wouldn't have this much problem with the post if you didn't sound like you were freaking out and if you didn't also mislead people with the title. I think you are the one who needs to "chill out."
The key fob has nothing to do with the brake pedal. Both are completely separate systems. The only thing the brake pedal would do is that it has to be slightly pushed down for the ignition to start.

Wow looks like the airing of grievances has begun, Happy Festivus!
Kevo, you can the batteries at any Radio Shack or similiar stores. I don't remember the model number but if you do a quick search here you should be able to find it.

when you open the fob, the battery # is embossed into the plastic inside.
I just got the car, which costs more than any other car I've ever owned. It was doing semi weird stuff and I'm not used to the keyless fob, which both were all of a sudden low on batteries. So yes I was semi freaking out. I wouldn't have thought anything of the brake except for the fact you have to push it in to start. Thanks to everyone with a response that didn't imply that I'm a moron.
