Trading in G?

I'm sitting in dealership looking at 2011 fx35 and possibly trading in my 07 G35 sport sedan with 22.5k miles. So sales comes back with 14.5k for my G in trade!! I did have minor accident in jan. of 09. Seems very low, right?

That's a bit low for the miles. My dealer offered me a poor trade for my g35 so I gave them our accord instead for the wife's preowned MDX. They were closer to market on that.

That's way too low! I would private party it, unless you have money to burn

Wow bored with the G already after only 22K? So how long do you think before the FX will seem old?

For comparison purposes I traded my 04 G35 6MT with 42K last year June for an 06 Yukon Denali and got 14K for it, I owed $14,600 at the time. That is low for th e 07. Good luck.

its low for sure but dealerships offer super low offers when they know the car was in an accident, regardless of how bad or minor it was.

most dealers i have dealt with offer kelly blue book value, and that seems really low to me as well, i mean KBB for my 05 6MT with 66000 miles claims to be worth rougly 14.5k (navigation, 19" rims (OEM), sunroof, etc.) in good condition. I would at the very least get KBB value, and was the accident reported on the carfax by the insurance company? If not then the accident shouldn't be an issue. i traded in a car that i had a fender bender in and they said the damage was minor and did not affect my trade in (i got KBB value for it).

I traded my 08 journey 42000 miles on it 3 weeks ago.
I tried to private party it for 6 months and even at $4k below bluebook I got no lookers and I attribute this to the fact that there are no Infiniti dealers in my area and #2 I live in snow country with a rear wheel drive car.
Trade in was $22,000, car was pristine, driven by my wife, not a scratch or dent.

They first offered $18k and I just politely stood up and said "well it's obvious that I cannot afford to purchase your car, thanks for your time", grabbed my wife by the hand and proceeded to the nearest exit. I had $22k in 5 minutes and an already negotiated price on their car.

The dealer has my trade in on their lot for $29000 http://www.mbofreno.com/detail-2008-...d-6457877.html

Yeah its just the car business. Ask them for the amount you want and if they dont budge go to another Infiniti dealer or find another FX at another dealer.

Infact I would try another sales guy. That may help, but 14 is rediculous. I would imagine about 16-20ish... would be the range as 07's with that mileage are going for like 20-25 around here.

I found that surprising but i know that is how dealers try to make money. My salesperson told me to drive to the carmax a few miles away(in a area i'm not familar with) and get them to appraise the car, then come back that day and buy his fx......uuuhh .... NO!Beyond the accident 2years ago my car is clean even in winter. I drove from bmore to Va trying to make a deal, the numbers did'nt line up and i left.
