10 mpg?!?!!?!
So my gas mileage on my 08 sedan has been horrible. It's showing up on my dash to be 9.8 mpg
I drive for very short intervals, maybe 5-6 minutes tops local on a daily basis, and i don't even go really hard on the gas. I know short intervals (especially local) give you bad gas mileage, but 9.8 is just ridiculous.....any input?

thats seriously bad man. I've been driving my car pretty hard after I installed exhaust and intake and my worst was 15mpg(all city).
Have you calculated it manually? Reset trip to 0, fill up gas tank, drive for a few days, then fill up gas tank to full. divide total miles driven by how much gallons you've put in your tank.

I would get that checked out ASAP. I live and work on a Military base 5 mile to work and I do that back and forth 4 times a day plus any other BK, or walmart runs. Lowest I've ever seen is 17. Something is definitely wrong. I would do it manually to confirm that reading is accurate though. I did it the first few times on mine and found out the trip computer is dead on with the MPG.

Dude I've had 8mpg at one point in my 07 2nd gen Sport. -_-
I have a heavy foot and do a lot of local driving.(Then again my stupid RPM jumps when I'm driving for some reason) anyways, lately I've been babying it and I hit the highway the other day for work and it went up to 11.0 mpg.
So try cruising down a freeway or something

Of course I'm not talking Alaska cold here. A vehicle will reach its normal operating temperature a lot faster by driving it, as oposed to sitting there in the driveway at idle.
