Factory shifter replacement
Factory shifter replacement
Sorry if this has been talked about before i couldnt find anything. Im wanting to replace my shift **** with the one for an M45 ****. But i also saw somewhere where someone had cut there factory auto shaft down so it didnt stand up so high. I was thinking about buying one to mess with so i dont F-up the one in the car, was just curious how hard it is to replace, and trim, and how much it might cost to buy a new shaft. Thanks.
It's not hard to replace the M ****, I just ordered mine last week and installed it today. I didn't shorten the **** yet, but the height actually doesn't really bother me.
Not sure how much the replacement shaft is, but the white piece is probably cheap to replace since its just a plastic tube.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with rick from riverside, and if i need to get a new boot or if my original one will work? I looked for his name on here but couldnt find it.
It's just a ****, no need to change the boot or make any adjustments.
If n e thing, you can take the boot off and stretch it a little bit. That's what I did and works perfectly fine.

i paid 100 from riverside for my ****. it sits at almost the same height and i didnt really notch the shaft very much. if you pull up hard enough on it the **** comes off, but in the year i have had it that has never happened to me.
Bad news guys. Rick no longer works for Riverside. Talked to a guy named Juan, he took over for Rick. Ordered the **** $115.50 shipped to WA.
