Sorry to hear about this. The dealer has no ground to stand on by making the "no maintenance done" statement - since it does not know what the issue is to begin with.

EDIT: I see that a few people aready made a similar point.

Found out they have a part on order that they need that should be in by Thursday..that will determine if it's just a part in the head or if it is a major engine replacement

Honestly, Infiniti does not usually play hard ball with warranty repairs. They are still trying to establish themselves as a luxury marque and usually go above and beyond what is needed. Look at all the fixes they have done with the 1st genners. The only time this is not true is if modifications were done that are suspect. Given that your car is stock, I am fairly confident they will not give you a hard time on the repair, even if catastrophic. I think the dealer planted that notion on the slim chance the warranty repair is rejected. If that is the case, definitely call corporate immediately.

Have to wait for dealership to get a tool so they can see if it's a part in the head. What tool would they have to order? That's what i am confused on. It should be there tomorrow or Thursday at the latest then they should be able to see if it's in the heads. Sucks i can't get a loaner until Infiniti oks the repair or problem

Another day with no answers as the tool they ordered didn't even come in yet..was suppose to be there wednesday they told me..now it should "hopefully be by this weekend"

So now what..they get the tool and find out it's not a valve spring..wait another 5 days to find out the issue? This blows...i hope this happens to no one on here..i am pissed

Change your sig to "temporarily out of commision"
This sucks and it is a royal pain in the *****, but you and the G will be back together soon.
Give the time they need to do the job and you'll have it back soon.

I know it's easier said than done and this does suck, but you'll be good as new soon.
Hang in there
