Car is donezo...off on a tow truck to the dealers...

Well guys my car is done. Driving around today to and from the store it was fine. No issues at all. Normal vibrations on the highway as well.

Start to head to CVS and all of a sudden a very LOUD engine knock going up with RPM's i was .5 miles from home so i drove it home. Father is very good with car and he thinks either a valve or something snapped off. It is so loud and painful...tow truck is here as i am writing this. Oil was full and looked good. I am going to need a major repair done...i just hope this is covered under powertrain...

As many of you know i have had vibration issues since about a week after i got my car..new tires and many balancing s with 2 mechanics saying (including Infiniti) they couldn't find the issue..i bet you these two items go with one another.

I took it to Infiniti 3 weeks ago for that vibration issue..they couldn't find the issue. Wonder if they will find it inside the engine...

Hopefully the fix or replace the engine to what it should be. That could very well be your problem all along. Good luck in any case! BTW, you still under warranty?

^ sorry to hear this too, but hopefully its all for the best and they will be able to fix it under warranty and that would fix your vibration complain too. The fact that you went to infiniti and had the complaint lodged with them 3 weeks back should help your case, and as long as the car was properly lubricated you should be good to have it covered under warranty. Keep us posted.

oh btw i just remembered you were installing the intakes, hope you either had both installed or went back to OEM cause if you have one of each they might give you a bit of hard time though it should have nothing to do with it.

Car was on truck completely stock...and what is valve knock?

I have onlyhad car for 3 months and dealer I brought it from changed oil. If Infiniti says there are no records or oil change am I screwed?

If I have to I will go after dealer I brought it from. Hopefully it won't come to that. Like I said oil was full and looked good.

But what is valve knock?
