How much did you pay for your 60K service?

If you're going to compare pricing between dealerships, you really need to verify that you're comparing apples-to-apples. The term "60k service" is highly variable. Infiniti alone has 3 different maintenance schedules that could all be performed and called a "60k service". Like others have said, it's a lot of stuff you can do yourself. If you want them to inspect your car before warranty runs out, you could probably pay for an hour of labor and still save a bundle by doing the service yourself. There is nothing magical about the dealership though, you could pay them to do a 60k service and they may still not find things that may be there.

Please
1. Find a reputable independent mechanic who won't kill you with absurdly high labor rates.
2. Do not go to the dealership for anything other than TSB's and warranty work.
3. Grab a checklist of what is included in the dealership 60k services and start marking down what's really necessary. Most of what's on those lists are fluff or will rape you violently for something simple (i.e. air filter replacement for $120 plus when it's a simple 10-15 minute process).
Locally here in CA, after I went to the dealers around and they were asking $800-$1100 for service - I looked elsewhere. I found a few Nissan/Infiniti master techs with their own independent shop down the street to do major service for ~$280. They also check to see if there is any warranty service/TSB's that needs to be done on your Infiniti for free.
Unless you like the dealerships' free coffee/cookies that much and/or really need their free loaner, I'd look to an independent mechanic or even a local forum member to help you. You'd save hundreds of dollars that way.
