^ i talked to my local dealer and the riverside about the raised type spoiler. they said infiniti does not make anything like that and the only one available is the one that goes on the chrome trunk lid.

That's weird. When I contacted Tony @ Riverside Infiniti when I was looking into purchasing an OEM spoiler, he definitely explained to me that Nissan offers 2 different types: a lifted spoiler type and the one that sits flush on the trunk lid. You'd be surprised at how much knowledge some of these guys at the dealerships have about our cars.

Maybe some of the 07-08 guys who purchased their car with the raised type spoiler can chime in for OP.

i stand corrected, i guess it did come from the dealer way back when the 07s 1st came out:

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...w-spoiler.html

https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-sed...t-spoiler.html

i wouldnt buy them from the dealer anyways, it would probably be overpriced just like the spoiler they carry now ($400!).

OP, if you go for the raised type, here are some tips:

Spoiler Depot ones are just as good but I think OP is specifically looking for just OEM option for now.

finally some clarity on this. I think half the guys out there dont have a clue about this cause everyone tells me a different thing. does anyone know where I can get one? from the dealer? or should I just go with an aftermarket one? i know they will be much cheaper aftermarket but i feel more comfortable OEM as i know ill get a quality product.

My neighboor has aftermarket raised spoiler that he got on ebay. Fits well and looks good but I wanted to be different and i do like my 09 style.

Parts Dept. at most dealers just sucks, most dont know half of what owners know.

ps. my Subaru parts dept is awesome.

ok well i guess im going to go with aftermarket since its a lot lot cheaper. you guys recommend spoiler depot? i looked them up and some people complained the color didnt match or it took forever to get and it seems like they jsut give you tape to put it on. i want it screwed down. i see the indents inside my trunk there which i assume are for the spoiler. i was thinking of this one here on ebay. seems straight up and 100% feedback.

I was trying to do this a couple months ago, and my Infiniti dealer said if your car didn't come with one you cant get one (factory). Thats the reason they asked you for your VIN#. It wasn't for color match. Had you ordered your car from them with a spoiler then you could have gotten one in the event yours got damage. Therefore you can get an aftermarket (look like factory) one, but you cannot get a factory one for your car if it didn't come with one. Strange? Yes. Stupid? Yes.

That's some BS. No dealer out there can tell you what you can and cannot buy for your car. If these douches told you that you cannot purchase the OEM raised spoiler b/c it did not originally come with it on your car, they are so full of it. Most of time when these parts guys ask for the VIN#, it is to verify that you are getting the correct part for your specific car. You should have no problem being able to purchase this spoiler by giving them your Nissan color code (ie.K51) and the part# for the spoiler unless they are no longer made from the factory.

It really annoys when some of these uneducated high school dropout fools standing behind the counter at the dealership giving misleading/incorrect info to their customers!

Damn!!!

^ LOL, it aint that serious man, just saying what they told me. This is my first car without a spoiler and I want one (factory). Don't want an aftermarket one even if it looks like factory. Some of them start to sag in the middle after a while

I also like to keep everything OEM especially for body parts or at least look for aftermarket parts that are somewhat comparable to OEM in quality/fitment even if that means I have to pay the premium.
