Not sure how maturity and spotting fast cars on the road have any correlation. Not trying to put you on blast but I figured there would be reasoning as to why the Civics were mentioned such as "they tried to race me" or "they hit my car" or anything pertinent to a G. I see fast cars all of the time, had a Ford GT fly by me on the highway yesterday and I live minutes from a Bentley and Lambo dealership. I see these cars weaving in and out of traffic all the time but unless I took photos, tried to race, etc I wouldn't think it was thread worthy. Just saying...

P.S. By no means am I insinuating I would actually race a Lambo or Bentley, that would be a joke!

I'm not saying civics suck. In fact, I was looking into a getting a hatch for a daily.

But the way you described the two civics you saw that were laughing at a GMC Sierra (a truck, mind you) and decided to race him. Looks to me like those civics were ricers.

And ricers + street racers can go get **** raped.

Not fast but a good looking fun little car.

Same exact car I had, also sold it for as much as I paid for it new. Was my first taste of 8000rpm goodness out of any motor. And that b16a was stout.

You are ignorant. The "maturity" comment is me willing to acknowledge a budget car, that was fast. Kinda like you discounting it because it's just a civic. I see fast cars all the time too, but they are fast cars so nothing special there. However if I see a "KIA" or "CIVIC" that's not for all intents and purposes, FAST I'm like hmmm, someone did some modifications

Theres the new Hyundai Sonata with a 2.0T. That looks like the new speedster of the sedans. Saw one take off pretty hard and it sounds impressive. Made me do a double take. Not sure what to think of that brand. I think of them as cheap, but nothing about that car looked cheap to me... my point is that perceptions change as the brands change.

I would say I'm far from ignorant, I used to own a Mazda Protege 5 with mods and can fully appreciate "budget" cars with mods. My initial comment was not to completely discount these kind of cars but to question why the thread was started. Again, I was curious as to how it related to a G. This is a forum where we can share ideas about our cars, not a blog where people rant about fast cars they see on the road. The premise for starting the thread is still something I question. If we all did this our general discussion would be about all cars BUT our beloved G. I am very humble and appreciate those who put a little money into their entry level cars, as I was one of them. Heck, I even think it's cool when they drop a ton of $ into them, just not my kind of thing anymore.
