Anyone remove the trim to paint? Tips are appreciated....

Found this on G37:
Special tools needed
soft plastic putty knife (usually sold as an trim or adhesive remover)
double sided tape
roll down all windows
pull out all the rubber that interfering
Rear door, bottom trim
from the outside, stick your finger in the window pocket, and put your thumbs on the exterior of the trim piece. pull out with your fingers (towards you) using your thumb as a pivot. easy
Top middle piece
same....but upside down, use your fingers to pull the bottom ledge of the chrome towards the sky. after the ledge clears the door, ----slide the trim forward towards the front (the middle top trim "hooks" to the door on the b pillar side. easy.
Boomarang...shucks
there is double sided tape behind this one. use your plastic putty knife to slide through the adhesive to free the trim. afterwards, remove as much adhesive from the door as you can. put your new double sided tape above the old and you will be fine for installation
front door, easy as the first two steps, but you have to remove the mirror. the interior door panel has to come off for that

Can't recall what I paid. I'll look and see if I can find the receipt. I got them last year when Rick was still at Riverside Infiniti. He gave me his price on the parts as usual, so it wasn't too bad. ;-)
