My GP i paid $250 for tint..the G i paid over $300

You get what you pay for..the Gs tint i got at one of, if not the best place in all of new england. Pay for quality service i guess

Its ceramic as well..much higher quality tint..keeps out 30-40% more heat that basic tints

Okay maybe if the type of tint is more efficient in keeping heat out or what ever extra it may do then I would understand in the extra hundred or so but even then I find these prices outrageous! I mean I've taken 3cars to the same guy whose done it for me and my family and at most he priced it was for 80$ and still to this day the tints are in great shape so it's definitely not a matter of quality of service or even material.

Well I have an appointment tomorrow. I don't need to have the best of the best I guess. I am really confused as to what to get. I guess I'll talk to the guy but I'm sure he'll recommend the premium. I don't want to get crap, but I don't want to get talked into top of the line, either.

Here is his price sheet. Doesn't make sense to me. The pricing options are "Budget Film / Good Film / Better Film / Best Film."

I hope I get a little bit more explanation tomorrow!

Here is a copy of the pricing sheet from my Google Docs.

Make sure you get either carbon or ceramic film, not metallic. Ceramic have more options in terms of shades or fading then carbon, but both are better quality then metallic film.

Interesting. Better quality how? Doesn't peel off as fast or something like that?

The film is more durable, thicker, but the proper installer is just as important. If you buy the best film and is not install properly then it would show ie peeling, bubbles. Do some research so you can choose the right product.

You could always mask it and hit it with some black spray paint to the wheat areas.

Well I wound up getting SunTek ceramic 35% warrantied for $275. The guy covered my 3rd brake light.

It's not very dark. I'm really happy with it. Can't wait to see it at night.

Crazy how many different opinions and prices there are for tinting. A lot of threads out there say it's dangerous at night. But 35% in the sun almost looks like no tint at all.

Later!
