Good / average price for all six windows tinted? $300?

I figured this would have been asked a lot, but I searched and it hasn't really.

I have never had my windows tinted before. I know almost nothing about it, except that my state limits you to 35%, which is what I plan on getting.

What should I plan on paying so that I don't get ripped off by anybody? I saw one shop online that had a price list that listed a "4-door car" as basically $300. But I don't know if that includes front and back windshields. Because the only other option was "2-doors."

Anyway, if I could get a ballpark of a what you would pay for a reputable, reviewed tint installer I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Later.

Regular tint like charcoal and such is between $150-250 on average

Specialty tint or name brand: $200-300

Ceramic tint is like $300-450.

Thanks. By 'specialty' do you mean like colored tint or something?

Also, from what I can find online ceramic tint keeps your car from exploding?

Keep in mind the price may also vary depending on if they cut around the rear window brake light or remove it first. I had them remove mine because on a Black with wheat interior cutting around the light looked...well...bad.

Here is how it looked cut around

Here is how it looked a few days later when I had them redo it

If you have a light coloured interior I would definitely do it removing the light first.

Dang, good point. I might just remove the light myself before I bring it in.

I don't know the rules in Canada, but in the states covering the 3rd brake light is a no-no

$300 seems pricey, I got the SunTek film on my sedan for $185 at a reputable shop, granted that was the "spring special" but I think regular was $225. Guys at the shop have been doing tint for over 30 years so it wasn't some fly by night company.
