HFC: Berk or Stillen??
HFC: Berk or Stillen??
I would like to buy a set of Hi-Flow Catalytic Converters for my X 2008 but I
don't know if I should go with the HFC from BERK or STILLEN?
any inputs? I heard about BERK HFC, but not Stillen (actually cheaper)

Define "legal"...
It is not legal in many states to make any modifications to a vehicle that increases it's db level.
With that being said, it's not inforced unless you go over the top and this is not that case.
These also pass emissions testing in pretty much all states. Cali can be a b!tch though.
I also suggest Fast Intentions over your above mentioned choices.

I have Berk HFCs installed on my RWD Journey. Raspy at first, throughout the break-in, still raspy when immediately driving after a cold start, and great when they are warmed up. I currently have about 1200 miles on mine and from 3100-3600 RPM is where I've heard the VQ exhaust note open up since the installation. It simply was not there before the cats. Interstate driving is good because when cruising around 75-80 @ 3300 RPM, the exhaust note is always there, especially when you accelerate from that point. I have a couple of videos but haven't had success uploading them.
As far as the headaches, the sound of HFCs on stock will never give you a headache. Not even close. The fumes burning off from brand new cats will because you will drive with the windows open trying to hear the sound. I am having a Stillen catback installed next week because for me, the sound of the cats alone doesn't do it for me. I feel like G needs more, and the HFCs alone make it sound puny, like it's trying to be something but it's not. Basically, it makes the G sound better than stock, but not what it should sound like. It needs more.
